Ronnie E. Beard, 8o, of Benton, departed this life peacefully on November 19, 2024.
He was born on November 6, 1944, in Athens, TN to the late Warren and Pauline Passmore Beard.
Ronnie was a member and deacon at First Baptist Church of Benton, where he loved to sing in the choir.
In addition to his parents, Warren and Pauline Passmore Beard, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Donnie Beard, David Beard, Jimmy Randall Beard; sisters, Judy Burrows, Barbara Akins and Faye Milen.
Left to cherish the many memories include his beloved wife of 61 years, Betty Campbell Beard; daughter, Rhonda (Joe) Pankey; granddaughter, Emily (Michael Morgan) Pankey; great granddaughters, Lexi Pankey and Genesis Pankey; brothers, Kenneth “Bige” (Wanelle) Beard, John (Lisa) Beard and Tony (Adeline) Beard.
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, November 25, 2024, at First Baptist Church of Benton, with Pastor Robbie Speights officiating.
Family and Friends will gather from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. on Monday, prior to the service at the church.
The family would like to give special thanks to Mark and Elaine Campbell and Cathy Ledford for making our Thursday visits with our beloved, Becky, possible. Also special thanks to Pamela Ware of A.W.A. In HomeCare Service and Hospice of Chattanooga, especially Margie and Harrison.
