Schmidt Funeral Home - BellvilleRonnie "Clay" Reynolds, Sr., passed away peacefully on July 9, 2025, in Katy, Texas. He was born on September 22, 1940, in Knoxville, Tennessee, and grew up in Noblesville, Indiana, where he attended Conner Elementary, Noblesville Jr. High, and Noblesville High School. Ronnie “Clay” proudly served in the United States Navy, a testament to his commitment to service and community in numerous states. In addition to many years of living and working in Indiana, he also resided in Houston and retired in Bellville, Texas.
In 2004, Ronnie “Clay” married Georgia James in Humble, Texas, beginning a new chapter of love and companionship that enriched his life.
He was a father to two children: Ronnie Clay Reynolds. Jr, and Paula Ann Mallory, as well as a stepfather to Georgia’s four children. He was a beloved brother to Martha G. (Richard) White and Roy E. (Julia) Reynolds. His legacy continues through his five grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, one great-grandson, three step-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Clay cherished his hobbies and interests, including camping, submarine simulations, and particularly bass fishing. Among his proudest accomplishments was being a member of several B.A.S.S. federations.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy Harlow and Marjorie Helen (Farrington) Reynolds.
His family, including his beloved wife Georgia and numerous other family and dear friends, will hold a viewing on July 21, 2025, at Schmidt Funeral Home in Bellville, Texas, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Clay Reynolds will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his dedication to his work, and his passion for life. His presence will be deeply missed but forever cherished by those who knew and loved him.
