Shirley Burton, age, 91 of Algonac, passed away on August 1, 2025, to be with her husband Ron. She was born on July 2, 1934, to the late John and Mary Schroeder, in Detroit, Michigan. She and Ron were married on September 17, 1955. Shirley was lucky enough to be able to stay home and raise her children. She picked up a part-time job later on. She enjoyed reading, sewing, crocheting and any other crafty project she could find. Ron and she loved to play golf and enjoyed spending time out on their boat. She fell in love with Arizona when she traveled with her husband for work and she talked him into moving there. She also enjoyed going on road trips in their motorhome and camping with their friends. Eventually she and Ron moved back to Michigan to be with family. Shirley is survived by her daughters, Debbie (Doug) Seigfreid and Sandy (Phil) Tuszynski, her son, Michael (Diana) Burton, grandchildren, Emily (Zack) Stephenson, Melissa Zielinski and Ian Burton. She is also survived by her sister, Esther Housden, brother Leroy (Ann) Schroeder along with nieces and nephews. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Burton, her son, David Burton, her sister, Lorraine Fisher, brothers, Jackie Schroeder, Tommy Schroeder and Jerry Schroeder. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
