Rosemarie Fields, of Milford, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2025, at the age of 69 at Bethesda North Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Kirchheimbolanden, Germany, Rosemarie was the beloved daughter of Elli Martha Doan and William Boyd Doan. At the age of two, she made the journey with her mother by boat to New York and then by train to Kentucky to reunite with her father, who was stationed in the United States with the Air Force.
A devoted and selfless mother, Rosemarie dedicated her life to raising her daughter, Valerie Browning. As a homemaker, she poured her heart into her family and became a constant and loving presence in the lives of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Rosemarie was a true fighter. After surviving brain surgery and a stroke in 1999, doctors warned she would never drive again and would face severe limitations-but she defied every expectation. Her resilience, strength, and determination were nothing short of inspiring.
She is a loving Mother to Valerie (William "Bill") Browning, the cherished sister of Jennifer (Bill) Young and William (Kelley) Boyd Doan Jr. She was deeply proud of her grandchildren: Tabitha Browning, Samantha (Austin) Walton, Alexandra Evanchyk, and William "Billy" Browning. Her legacy lives on in her great-granddaughters, Daisy and Rosemarie Walton, lovingly named in her honor.
Rosemarie's life was one of quiet strength, unwavering love, and deep devotion to her family. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Visitation to honor Rosemarie will be held on Wednesday July 16, 2025, in the Evans Funeral Home, Goshen from 12:30PM until time of services at 2:00PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Rosemarie's memory to causes close to her heart-the Wildlife Federation, ASPCA animal rescue, or St. Labre Indian School.
