Rosemary Lee (White) Mix, 92, Jeffersonville, IN passed away Monday, June 30, 2025. She was born on July 30, 1932 in Patriot, Indiana to the late David W. White and Ada M. (Ascherman) White. Rosemary graduated from Indiana State and received her Master's Degree in Education from Indiana University. She retired from her 40 year teaching career at Utica Elementary in Jeffersonville. She was blessed with 34 years of marriage to her husband, Coen D. Mix and was an active member of Culbertson Baptist Church in New Albany, IN and most recently One Community Church in Clarksville, IN.
Rosemary was a person of profound faith who touched many throughout her life. She was a tireless volunteer and particularly enjoyed leading Bible studies where she shared her faith and fostered many lifelong friendships. Additionally, she was an avid reader and a die hard fan of Indiana Basketball and the Cincinnati Reds.
Rosemary cherished her family. She was a loving wife and mother. She adored her three grandsons and was present at countless sporting events and musical performances over the years. Most recently she was honored to become a great-grandmother.
In addition to her parents, Rosemary was preceded in death by her loving husband, Coen D. Mix; brother, John White; sisters, Shirley Waggener, Betty Smith, Ruth Felgar, Linda Westby, and Dottie Burgess.
She is survived by her son, Steven D. Mix (Nancy); daughter, Lisa L. Ford (Jeff); grandchildren, Jeffery Ford (Kym), Jonathan Ford (Kirsten), and Connor Mix (Hannah); great grandchild, Penelope Ford; and brother, David W. White.
Visitation will be 9:30-11:30 am on Saturday July 5th at the Market Street Chapel of Naville & Seabrook Funeral Homes. A private burial will take place Monday, July 7th at Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany.
Expressions of sympathy can be made in the form of donations in Rosemary's name to St. Croix Hospice Foundation, 2916 Peach Blossom Road, Jeffersonville, IN 47130.
