SURGOINSVILLE – Rosie Melinda Lindsey - Blair, 52, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, July 19, 2025, following a brief illness.
Rosie was born to her parents, Chester and Barbara (Byington) Lindsey in Rogersville, TN on July 1, 1973, and was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County. She worked at Tabco for nearly 20 years, before her health declined. Rosie loved watching Days of Our Lives, she was a big race fan, and Chase Elliott was her favorite. Rosie's family was the light of her life especially her grandbabies, and she loved them all more than anything.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dee and Rosie Lindsey, and Robert and Ruth Byington; and her mother-in-law, Margaret Campbell.
Rosie is survived by her husband, James Blair; children, Lindsey Gilliam (Jason), Chasity Hutto, Makala Lindsey (Drew), James Blair (Ashley), and Michael Blair; grandchildren, Heaven, Gabriel, Joel, Isaiah, Chloe, Paisley, Alexis and Baby Girl due in November, Aliyah (Mamaw's sidekick), James, and Cheryl; great grandchildren, Hadleigh and Presley; her parents, Chester and Barbara (Byington) Lindsey; sisters, Patsy Roller (Ronnie), and Amy Worley (Ed); brothers, Brian Lindsey (Melissa), and Phillip Lindsey; special niece and best friend, Carrie Worley; as well as several dear aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home. Family and friends are also welcome to visit at Jim and Rosie's house or at her sister Patsy's house. The funeral service will follow the visitation in the funeral home chapel with pastor Billy Linkous officiating.
