Ruby Dean Johnson Parker Obituary

Ruby Dean Johnson Parker, age 97, of Buford, GA passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2025. She was preceded in death by husband, Avery Parker; son, Jerry Parker; great granddaughter, Savannah Randolph; sisters, Jimmie Durmire and JoAnn Smith; brother, A J Durmire; and mother, Beatrice Johnson. Mrs. Parker is survived by daughter-in-law, Gail Bailey Hedden of Buford; sons-in-law, Earl Hedden; grandchildren, Jerry Chad and Lacey Parker of Buford; and Julie Dianne and Jermaine Randolph of Winder, GA; great grandchildren, Brittany and Nathan Welch, Dillon and Caitlin Parker, Hannah Parker, Makaylah Randolph, and Reagan Randolph; great great grandchildren, Avery Welch, Hunter Parker, Ezra Welch, and Colt Parker; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Parker was born on July 26, 1927 in Alabama, and she was a homemaker. She was the oldest member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church in Buford. The family would like to say Thank You to Northeast Georgia Hospice for all the wonderful care given to Ruby Parker during her illness.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Grant Wade and Rev. Kenneth Parker officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 26 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
