Ruth Ann Boan, 79, of Whitesboro, Texas was called to her eternal home on Friday, July 11, 2025.
Ruth was born on March 11, 1946 in Hugo, Oklahoma to Virgil and Callie (Worthy) Kernell. She graduated from Hugo High School and married the love of her life, Harold Allan Boan Sr., on February 19, 1966. She was a loving mother and friend to many in the community, affectionately known as "mama Ruth" or "Ruthie" to those that loved her. To her sons she was mom. She devoted her life to the care of her family.
She is survived by her son, Daniel Boan and wife, Terri of Whitesboro, sister-in-law, Tommie Lou Kernell of Hugo, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Callie Kernell, husband, Harold Boan, son, Allan Boan, and her siblings, Curtis Ray, C.L. Junior, Tommy Joe, and Francis.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro.
