Obituary of Ruth Ann Jamicky
Ruth Ann Jamicky
Ruth Ann (Zern) Jamicky, age 88, died Friday, June 6, 2025. Ruth Ann was born in Lehighton, PA and lived in Clinton, NJ for over 50 years before moving to Millville, DE in 2022. She worked as a registered nurse at Union Forge Nursing Home, Stone Arch Nursing Home and Hagedorn State hospital and retired in 2007.
Daughter of the late John and Alma (Frey) Zern, she is survived by her husband of 65 years, Joseph Jamicky, three daughters and son-in-law's, JoAnn Glick (David) of Cottonwood, AZ, Mary Jane Stavish (Michael) of Ocean View, DE, Pamela Johnstone (Christopher) of Arvada, CO, one son and daughter-in-law: Thomas Jamicky (Debora), a sister-in-law, two nephews, thirteen grandchildren, and twenty-three great grandchildren.
She was a girl scout leader and a member of Sweet Adelines for many years. She learned to play piano when she was young, loved music and enjoyed volunteering to play at school music programs and church. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church Annadale, NJ, followed by St Catherine of Sienna in Pittstown, NJ and most recently St Ann's Catholic Church in Bethany Beach, DE. She was active in the church, assisting with the food pantry, knitting prayer shawls and baby blankets. She joined a red hat group and made many dear friends over the years.
A viewing will be held Thursday, June 12, 2025, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home located at 1761 Rt. 31, Clinton, NJ. A funeral mass will be held Friday, June 13, 2025, at 10:00 am at St Catherine of Siena Church located at 2 White Bridge Rd., Pittstown, NJ. Burial will immediately follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, 316 Old Allerton Rd., Annandale, NJ.
