Ruth Jenkins Obituary

Ruth Evelyn Klaber Jenkins, 91, of Falmouth, KY, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Health Care in Ft. Thomas, KY. Born on March 27, 1934, in Pendleton County, she was the daughter of the late William Jacob and Naomi Mae McKinley Klaber. On March 1, 1952, she married Wesley Benage Jenkins, and they built a wonderful life together, anchored in faith and blessed with loving and raising their three children. They shared numerous adventures, making many "story-worthy" memories, welcomed precious grandchildren, and made the most of their 51 years together before he preceded her on May 2, 2003. A Butler High School graduate, Ruth worked in various capacities with the Pendleton County School System, driving bus #22 for six years, making and serving healthy and delicious meals at the high school cafeteria for 13 years, and motivating young students as a teacher's aid for eight years. She was an active member of the Turner Ridge Baptist Church, Falmouth, for as long as her health allowed, serving readily in church projects and at church functions. Ruth could have fun anywhere: at water's edge with her fishing pole, painting, driving a gator, tractor, or moped, playing with her grandchildren, cooking, telling stories, and playing cards and games. She truly cherished her life with her family and friends. Surviving to cherish her memory are her three children: Pamela Charlene Duncan, Connie Rae Biddle (Wayne), and Dennis Wayne Jenkins (Kim); 7 grandchildren blessed to have her as their Mamaw: Brian Jenkins (Megan), Sarah Jarvis (Marcus), Rob Duncan (Cindy), Jennifer Duncan, Eric Biddle (Tabatha), Aaron Biddle, and Alex Biddle (Katie); 15 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law Danny Duncan, a granddaughter Stephanie Duncan, and two sisters: Lanora Osborne and Agnes Greiser. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Friday, August 1, 2025, at Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth, with Bro. Dale Beighle officiating. Visitation will be from 12-2 pm on Friday preceding her service at the funeral home. Interment will take place in the Turner Ridge Cemetery, Falmouth.
