Ruth "Suzy" Henderson Lippman was born on August 23, 1921 in Carrier Mills, IL. She was the daughter of Rev. N. C. Henderson and Sylva Deem Henderson. She graduated from Marion High School, then attended McKendree College for one year. Subsequently, she transferred to Asbury College and graduated from there in 1943. After graduation, she married Rev. Roland Lippman and moved to southern Illinois. They had two boys, Doug and Greg. Later, she had five grandchildren, Erich, Kurt, Jared, Kathryn, and Travis. At the time of her death, she also had four great grandchildren. For many years, she was a faithful minister's wife, and a committed Christian. She also served as an English teacher for twenty years at Centralia High School and Kaskaskia College. Her parents preceded her in death, as did her husband, and her three brothers, Arthur, Norland, and Bill. In addition to being a faithful minister's wife and teacher, she was a wonderful parent and friend of many. On September 15, at the age of 104, Suzy went to rejoin her Lord, her husband, and her family. A Visitation will be held on Monday, September 22, 2025 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:30 AM at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia. Burial will follow at the Romine Prairie Cemetery on 161 east of Centralia, Illinois. Those wishing to make donations in her memory may send them to Asbury University, #1 Macklem Drive, Wilmore, Ky. 40390 and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home located at 235 North Sycamore Street Centralia, Illinois 62801, (618)532-3523, who is honored to be of service to Suzy's Family.
