Ryan Trail Obituary

Ryan Hunter Trail, 30, passed away on October 11, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and quiet love that touched everyone who knew him.
Born on July 5, 1995, Ryan lived his life in Cantonment, Florida, where he was known for his gentle spirit, his devotion to his family, and his deep love of life's simple joys. Ryan will be remembered for his kindness and soft heart, qualities that touched everyone who knew him. He loved spending time with family and looked forward to every reunion where laughter and memories were shared. Golf was one of his favorite pastimes, and he enjoyed the peace and connection it brought him.
Whether he was teeing off on the golf course, lending a hand to a loved one in need, or sharing laughs at a family reunion, Ryan always showed up with warmth and sincerity. Ryan had a soft heart-a rare and beautiful quality. He was burdened by animals in need and would bring home strays, adding to what his grandmother referred to lovingly as the Trail Funny Farm.
Ryan's warmth, gentleness, and easy smile will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to know him.
He is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Carolyn McDuffie and Sherry Trail.
He is survived by his loving mother, Meredith McDuffie Trail (Garrison), his father, Thomas Trail (Tina); his sister, Kristina Jones (David); and his brother, Stephen Trail (Olivia). He also leaves behind his beloved grandfathers, Willie McDuffie ("Gramps") and Larry Trail ("Pawpaw"); two aunts, Beth McDuffie and Terena Parrish; and numerous extended family members as well as friends that love him.
A memorial service to honor Ryan's life will be held on October 17, 2025, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home – North (Cantonment, Florida). Visitation will begin at 2:30 with Service beginning at 3 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Ryan's memory to the Caris house at Olive Baptist Church.
