Ryder Philip Jasper Buffett, 6 weeks old, of Sanderson, Florida passed away at home on July 2, 2025. He was born in Middleburg, Florida at St. Vincent’s Clay Hospital on May 18, 2025 to his mother Brittany Delp and father Zachary Buffett. Ryder was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, and cousin. His personality was starting to shine, and it was full of smiles and funny faces. He enjoyed watching television with his dad, being held by his mom, and receiving everyone’s complete attention.
Ryder is predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Angelina Farris of Macclenny; his paternal grandmother, Lori Buffett of Jacksonville; and maternal grandfather, Charles “Chucky” Whitehead of Macclenny.
He is survived by his parents, Zachary Buffett of Jacksonville and Brittany Delp of Sanderson; grandparents, Philip (Andrea) Buffett of Tonapoh, Arizona, Michael Hodges of Jacksonville, and Michael (Tonya) Farris of Glen St. Mary; aunts, Marley (Iron) Lucas, Olivia (Caden) Delp, and Shelby Christmas all of Sanderson; uncles, Nash, Philip, Chevey, and Ollen Buffett all of Tonapoh, Arizona, Maverick Farris of Glen St. Mary, and Nolan Hodges of Seattle, Washington; cousins, Dalton (Kayla) Guernsey, Darren (Kaitlin) Davis, Hailee Harvey, Kade, Kayson, and Liliana Guernsey, Rooster and Georgia Carter, and Jeremiah and Jaxson Chambers all of Sanderson, and Dustin (Anna) Guerney of St. Augustine; great-grandmothers, Ocla Delp of Sanderson, Sennett Duggar of Acworth, Georgia and Jan (Doug) Carpenter of Florahome; great-grandfather, Duane Delp of St. George; great-aunt, Beki (Wade) Harvey of Sanderson; and great-uncle, Michael (Melissa) Delp of St. George.
A celebration of Ryder’s life will be held Monday, July 14, 2025 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Guerry Forbes Funeral Home. The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow immediately at Macedonia Cemetery.
