Mr. Sam Jackson, a proud United States Marine Corps veteran and devoted servant of the Lord, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of faith, strength, and love. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening at Ott and Lee Funeral Home from 5-8pm. Funeral services will be held at All Seasons Worship Center on Thursday at 10am, with burial following at MS Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Newton, MS.

Sam bravely served his country in the Vietnam War, carrying the honor and discipline of the Marine Corps with him throughout his life. After his military service, he continued to serve his community in a different way—behind the wheel of a tow truck. Known for his steady hands and reliable spirit, Sam spent many years helping others on the road, always with a kind word and a ready smile.

But more than anything, Sam was a man of deep love—for his family and for his Savior. He found his greatest joy in his granddaughter, Katelyn, who held a special place in his heart, and in his beloved great-grandchildren, twins Kaysen and Kyl ee, whom he often called his greatest blessing. Sam was a constant presence in their lives, never missing a school event or activity. Whether it was a class program, a ballgame, or a school pickup line, he was always there cheering them on, showing his pride, and making sure they knew how deeply they were loved.

A passionate follower of Christ, Sam lived to spread the word of God. Whether through quiet conversations or loud praises, he was never shy about his faith and took every opportunity to witness to others. His Bible was well-worn, his prayers sincere, and his faith unwavering.

Sam Jackson’s life was a testament to service—service to his country, his community, his family, and above all, to his Lord and Savior. His strong presence, big heart, and steadfast beliefs will be deeply missed, but his legacy will live on in the lives he touched and the love he gave so freely.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Eva Grace Jackson; two children, Brandi Jackson and Kelly Jackson; and a brother, James E. Jackson; he leaves behind his granddaughter, Katelyn Grant; great grandchildren, Kylee and Kaysen Boykin; daughter Jennifer Mosley, and son Brian Jackson.

Semper Fi, Sam. Until we meet again.

Ott and Lee of Forest is honored to serve the Jackson family during this difficult time.
