Samuel Lee Gross, 62, of Lexington, KY, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025 at his home. Born on December 14, 1962 in Cynthiana, KY, he was a son of the late Charles and Metta Purnell Gross. He married Rita Clem Gross and she survives his passing. He was a veteran of the US Army, truck driver, a laborer at 3M Company in Cynthiana and formerly worked for Concept Packaging. Sam was a member of the Victory Baptist Church. He loved to tell jokes, laugh, and have a good time. He enjoyed listening to music and dancing; and was even known to break dance in his later years.
In addition to his wife Rita, he is survived by 6 siblings, Tina (Keith) Lewis, Charles (Dina) Gross, John (Tanya) Gross, Mary Gross, Mark (Faye) Gross, Valarita (Kurt) Raglin, and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Carl Purnell, Wilbur Gross, and Willie Gross.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at Victory Baptist Church in Cynthiana with Pastor Kurt Raglin and Pastor Melvin Gross officiating. The visitation will be held from 11-1 preceding the service.
