Dorothy J. (Tulenko) Feher passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025, in Little Falls, NJ, at the age of 85. Born on February 20, 1940, in Passaic, NJ, Dorothy was a woman whose life was marked by her deep love for her family.
Dorothy was raised in Passaic's Third Ward Park and was a proud graduate of Passaic High School. She furthered her education at Bennington College in Vermont, where she cultivated a love of learning. Her marriage to her husband, Ladislas (Laddie) F. Feher spanned 61 remarkable years until his passing in 2023. They settled in Little Falls in 1969, and raised three incredible children, who were the cornerstone of her existence.
Dorothy was a beacon of wisdom and her interests were as varied as they were passionate. She loved her home, holiday traditions, crossword puzzles, TV, music, and gardening. Her favorite place to travel was Italy, with close friends Barbara and Sam Gilbert, where they created so many cherished memories. But most of all, she loved her Black Lab Otis, always holding a special place in her heart.
Though she is predeceased by her husband Laddie, her brother Alan Tulenko, and her parents, George and Eleanor Tulenko, Dorothy's legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, niece, nephews, cousins, and a circle of special friends who were touched by her grace and compassion. Dorothy leaves behind three children: David and his wife Kristine, Robert and his wife Jill, and Lauren and her partner Heather; and four grandchildren, Samantha, Riley, Garrett, and Mason.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 21, 2025 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. The funeral service will be held at 12:30 pm followed by the interment at East Ridgelawn Cemetery in Clifton. In lieu of flowers, please consider planting a tree in Dorothy's memory. Mr. Larry Hahn

October 28, 2025

I first met Dorothy when she and "Laddie" would come to South Florida to visit Lauren during the winter. Lauren started at Coldwell Banker, quite a few years ago, almost 25 .At the time I was "a top producer" and selling a lot of real estate, mainly bank owned properties .At the time Lauren joined my team, she was a newer agent. Lauren would call me "boss", wow, how those rolls have changed!

It was during that time when I met Dorothy, and for whatever reason, we hit it off. I cannot explain the reason; there was quite a gap in our ages, our religions, but we had a fondness and a friendship. Based on the recollections and testimonials I heard this day, that relationship that was genuine and special for me, was pervasive, and echoed by so many of her friends, associates, and members of her family.

Whether it was on the phone or face to face, whatever the setting; it had more to do because of Dorothy, who she was; a person with a gift, a desire to laugh, listen, to share her experiences and to learn from yours, an interest in humanity -a frankness; and a fondness for others!

Dorothy and I both shared a love for the songwriter and poet Leonard Cohen, whose monumental and most inspirational song is the classic "Hallelujah", sung by k.d. lang at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. If you are, or not familiar with it , its“ worth a listen!
