Sandra Allen Reid, or Sandy, as her friends would call her, was born in a little town called Kingsland, Arkansas. She spent her younger years being raised there with her three older brothers, her parents, and many family members who still live there. She would later move to Chicago, Illinois, where she attended school and would later meet the love of her life. She would get married and raise her family early on there as well. Sandy was a natural-born mother and nurturer. She would go on to have four children altogether.
She worked for Publix in Crystal River, Florida, and Tyson in Waldron, Arkansas. Sandy loved Arkansas and felt the most at peace there. She loved the mountains, her family, and her dogs (Duncan and Pee Wee).
She is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel; her mother, Shirley Allen; and her father, Harry Allen. She is also preceded in death by her three brothers, Wayne, Ronald, and Harry Allen; her grandson, Christopher Baker; her grandson, Nicholas Reid; and her granddaughter, Hailey Baker.
She is survived by her oldest son, Thomas Reid, of Inglis, Florida; her son, James Reid, and spouse, Billy, of Waldron, Arkansas; her daughter, Jennifer, along with her spouse, Michael Baker, of Gansevoort, New York; and her son, Shawn Reid, of Inglis, Florida, along with 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Sandy will be laid to rest at a date to be determined in Kingsland, Arkansas.
