Sandra Wade Obituary

Sandra Elizabeth Wade, 73, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2025 in a local hospital. Mrs. Wade was born in Fitzgerald, Georgia and lived in Moultrie, Georgia before moving to Jacksonville in 1977. She was daughter to the late Luther Hubert Phillips and Carrie Elizabeth Phillips. Sandra married Michael Wade on January 28, 1972 in Moultrie and after moving to Jacksonville worked for many years as a greeter at Wal-Mart before retiring in 2012. Her favorite past time was being a Mimi to her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers: James Phillips and Luther "Buddy" Phillips and is survived by her husband of 53 years, Michael Wade; two children: Candace Wade and Brian Wade (Ashley); 2 grandchildren: Mikaylaa and Maxx Wade and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at the Event Center at Peeples, 14165 N. Main Street (Building C) with Rev. George Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Jacksonville National Cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
