Sara Lee Kukacka, age 32, of Shakopee, Minnesota, passed away unexpectedly at home in the early morning Monday, March 3, 2025.
A Celebration of Life in honor of Sara will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025, hosted at McNearney-Schmidt Funeral and Cremation, 1220 3rd Ave E. - Shakopee, beginning at 2 PM. Friends and family are invited to gather at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 PM to share condolences with the family. A reception will follow the service at McNearney-Schmidt.
Sara was born on October 7, 1992, in Burnsville, Minnesota, the daughter of Stephanie (Kenney) Marcum and Harold Kukacka Jr. Her childhood began in Burnsville. The family then relocated to Shakopee when Sara was about nine years old, when she gained a stepfather, Gary Marcum.
Sara was a graduate of Shakopee High School, class of 2011. She loved to dance and attended dance academy for several years. After graduation, she attended Regis School of Cosmetology. She then met Edwin Vargas and was blessed with three beautiful children: Rosaleigh, Giovanni, and Kai. Sara made her children her priority in life. She was devoted to their happiness and well-being.
Sara was full of love and beauty. She was artistic, enjoying time spent crafting. Sara was a fantastic baker, always making treats and holiday cookies. She especially loved the holidays and cherished the memories made each year. Sara had an uplifting and inspiring effect on those around her. She had a special spark that made others feel joy and peace. Family was everything to Sara, and her love and beautiful soul will be remembered and cherished by us forever.
Sara is survived by her children, Rosie, Gio, and Kai; her mother and stepfather, Stephanie and Gary Marcum; her father, Harold Kukacka Jr.; sister, Jami Kukacka and brother, Jonny Kukacka; grandparents, Sonja and Larry Clausen, and Grace Kukacka; stepgrandma, Gloria Mistek; nephew and nieces, Stuart, Eleanor, Lillian, and Izabella; uncles, David (Terri) Kenney, Chad Taylor; and cousins and other relatives and dear friends.

I love you so much this all feels like a bad dream. We should be waking up after an all nighter at Aqua and Pizza Lucé. Why did you have to go? I´ll see you in a couple weeks angel.
