Mrs. Blanton passed from this life on July 12, 2025, at her residence. She was born January 23, 1950, in Henderson to the late S.O. and Merle (Wood) Anderson. Mrs. Blanton was a homemaker but also worked as a nursing assistant with Hospice Homeplace of East Texas in Tyler.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, the father of her children Olan Whitehead and Alfred Blanton, daughter Sara Betsy Whitehead, and daughter-in-law Michelle Whitehead.
Survivors include her children, Sidney Whitehead, Renee Wimberly and husband David, Rebecca Whitehead, and Ben Whitehead, all of Henderson; brother Gary Anderson and wife Harriet of Franklinton, Louisiana; 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Glee and I were best friends for years. I first met her at Hospice of East Texas. We worked together for years. She was a very passionate person. We visited quite often. I love you very much Glee and you will never be forgotten. My heart goes out to the family. I wish you all lots of strength through this hard time.
