Bartonville-Scott M. Allen, 52, of Bartonville, passed away at 1:35 AM on Friday, May 16, 2025, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born on July 21, 1972, in Peoria, a son of Gary and Theresa "Terri" (Oedewaldt) Allen.
Surviving are his parents, Gary and Terri Allen of Canton; his children, Braden and Brooke Allen, both of Elmwood; his ex-wife and friend, Lynn Allen of Elmwood; two brothers, Jeff Allen of Memphis, Tennessee, and Kurt (Suzy Bullard) Allen of Central Point, Oregon; a niece, Emily (Cody) Byrum; a nephew, Cameron Allen; and a sister-in-law, Dawn Allen of Arlington, Tennessee.
Scott graduated from Limestone High School in 1990 and began working at Liberty Steel & Wire in Bartonville, where he later retired as a Mech Tech after 33 years of service, retiring at the beginning of 2025.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM (Noon) on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Endsley-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Bartonville, where visitation will be from 10:30 AM until the time of services. Rev. Bruce Rushing will officiate. Burial will follow the services and take place at Kingston Mines Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the local chapter of the Alzheimer's Association. To all of the Allen family , I'm sorry for your loss.
Scott was always fun to be around. He had a great ability to light up a room when he came in. He was very much liked by his coworkers.
I truly enjoyed working with him for over 25+ years.
May everyone that he touched find some type of solace in this difficult time.
