Scott Gene Scowary of Painesville, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 29, 2025. Scott was 50 years old and he was the youngest of seven children born to Eugene and Beverly Scowary of Wickliffe, OH.
Scott was preceded in death by his father, Eugene (1999), mother, Beverly (2003), oldest sister, Susan Vincent (2015), and brother, Joe Vincent (2025).
Scott's memory is carried on by his sisters, Sally Greenblatt (Alan), Shirley Deitrick (Ernie), Sandra Brokate (Bryan), Shelly Pavis (Bob), and brother Steve Scowary (Kim); cousins, Penny Bowes and Tina Ours; and many nieces and nephews.
Scott had a special endearing personality whose unspoken love brought family and friends together with his shared love for food, music, and laughter. He spoke from the heart without words as he lived his life. Scott's gentle spirit embodied love, joy, and goodness. Scott's warmth and love will be missed by all who knew him.
To honor Scott, a Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at Grace Church of Mentor 6883 Reynolds Rd., Mentor, where the family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Twp. following the service. His family welcomes you back to Grace Church for a meal after the cemetery services.
