Scott Wright Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jul. 3, 2025.
Scott Michael Wright, 61, a beloved resident of Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, Kentucky. Scott was a devoted son of the late Robert and Louella Wright, and is preceded in death by his brother, Mark Wright. He is survived by his loving wife Kimberly Wright, his siblings Stephen Wright (Diane), Shawna Wright, and Kay Kinsler (Jim), 6 Nieces, 4 Nephews, and numerous Great Nieces & Nephews. He also leaves behind many dear friends and extended family who will deeply miss his presence. Scott dedicated much of his career to Aurora Casket in Indiana, where he proudly served as Vice President of Logistics for many years. His strong leadership and dedication earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues. He retired in 2020 leaving behind a legacy of excellence and integrity. In retirement, Scott found joy working part time at the Eagle Creek Country Club pro shop, where he continued to enjoy the game he loved. A proud and memorable moment came on May 19, 2025 when Scott achieved a hole-in-one on Hole 10 – a 182 yard par 3 – with his best friend, Scott Bachmann, there to witness the once-in-a-lifetime shot. Scott also had a special bond with his Jack Russell terrier, Otis. Together they attended dog sporting events and collected numerous ribbons, but for Scott, the real reward was simply spending time with his loyal companion. His kindness, sense of humor, and love for both people and animals will be remembered always. In honor of Scott's deep affection for animals, the family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to friends of the shelter, an organization close to his heart. Scott will be remembered for his warm spirit, quiet strength, and the joy he brought to those around him. Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made by mail to Friends of the Shelter, PO Box 93, Union, Ky 41091-0093 or online at www.friendsoftheshelterky.org.
