Shannon "Jodie" Smith August 17, 1977 – July 13, 2025
Shannon (Jodie) Smith passed away peacefully at home on July 13, 2025, at the age of 47.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Frank and Virginia Rice.
Jodie is survived by her devoted husband, Thomas Cole; her daughter, Haley Smith and son-in-law Cody Money; and her cherished grandson, Jaxson Money. She is also survived by her sister, Tammy (Mike) Gilbert; her nieces, Heather (Wesley) Johnston and Amanda Rowland; and her great-niece, Caleigh Johnston.
A longtime resident of Claiborne County, Tennessee, Jodie was known for her kind heart, warm spirit, and ability to light up any room she entered. She never met a stranger and made everyone feel like family. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
