Graveside services for Shari Norman will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 3, 2025, at the Alva Municipal Cemetery with Rev. Paul Kirk officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva.
Shari Lyn, daughter of the late Phillips Brooks and Irene Anelle (Shelly) Noah, was born June 30, 1941, at Jefferson City, Missouri and passed away June 29, 2025, at Stillwater surrounded by her family, at the age of 83 years, 11 months, and 29 days.
Shari grew up an only child and attended school in Oklahoma City and graduated from Monticello Boarding School in Illinois. On August 20, 1959, she was united in marriage to Marvin "Bud" Norman at St. Luke's Methodist Church in Oklahoma City. They made their home in Colorado Springs, Colorado and Galveston, Texas. She later moved to Nichols Hills and then Edmond before moving to Stillwater to be near her family.
Shari was a member of St. Luke's Methodist Church in Oklahoma City. She enjoyed reading, shopping, and traveling with Bud on his work trips. She was a member of the Mercedes Club and also the Galveston Orphanage Organization.
Besides her parents, Phillips and Irene, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin; and her son-in-law, Larry Lasenberry.
Shari is survived by her daughter, Shelly Lasenberry of Stillwater; her grandchildren, Stephanie Peetoom and husband, W.A., of Stillwater, and Lawrence Lasenberry of Blanchard; eight great grandchildren, Will Peetoom of Alva, Josh Peetoom and Alex Peetoom, both of Stillwater, Khloe Lasenberry of Guthrie, Whitley Lasenberry of Guthrie, Harper Lasenberry of Edmond, Lawrence Lasenberry of Guthrie, and Layton Lasenberry of Guthrie; other relatives and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Humane Society of Stillwater.
