Crawford Funeral and Cremation Service - OxfordSharon A. Caulfield, age 68 of Hancock passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Friday, June 27, 2025. Sharon was born on August 2, 1956 in Chicago, IL the youngest of nine children, loved and celebrated life with her parents, Leo and Emily (Gatschet) Swederski, siblings and growing up with many, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Sharon was married on November 6, 1976 to Jim Caulfield and began building dreams together. They enjoyed traveling and camping from the east coast to the west coast as a family. Sharon had a deep passion for fishing, water skiing and deer hunting.
Sharon and Jim developed and operated several businesses including Kilby Lake Campground in Montello and Winding Creek Campground in Hancock. Sharon gave her time as a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Wisconsin Association of Campground Owners, Local FFA and her church.
Sharon survived cancer for more than two decades. In recent years, they enjoyed spending winters in Punta Gorda, Florida enjoying the sunshine with family and friends.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Jim and two children: Keith (Laura) and their three daughters: Claudia, Emily and Amy; daughter, Alison “Ali” (Steven) and their two sons: Reese and Jason “JP”. She is also survived by three brothers: Gerald (Carol), Ronald and Leonard (Patricia) as well as two sisters: Susan and Patricia along with many other family and friends.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Robert and William and sister, Geraldine.
A memorial service for Sharon Caulfield will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 11:00 AM at The First Presbyterian Church in Oxford. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the hour of service. Pastor Brenda Pulver will preside and inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to The First Presbyterian Church of Oxford, P.O. Box 87, Oxford, WI 53952 or Budda-Box, P.O. Box 591, Montello, WI 53949.
