Sharon Lee Demchak of Plano, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2025, at the age of 78. She was born on January 16, 1947, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, to John Grant Pitts and Lena Cecelia (Snyder) Pitts. Sharon spent her early years in Clairton, Pennsylvania, where she developed the strong family values that would guide her throughout her life.
On September 29, 1973, she married the love of her life, Donald Joseph Demchak, in Clairton. Together, they built a life centered on family, love, and resilience. After her children graduated from high school, Sharon began working in the deli department at Tom Thumb–Albertsons. She quickly became known for her tireless work ethic and warm, friendly personality.
Family was at the heart of everything Sharon did. A devoted wife, mother, sister, and aunt, she lovingly "ruled the roost," filling her home with warmth, laughter, and unwavering care. She deeply cherished her siblings, nieces, nephews, and extended family, offering love and support to all who were fortunate to know her.
Sharon's journey took her from Clairton to Olathe, Kansas, and eventually to Plano, Texas, where she and her family settled in 1993. She found joy in life's simple pleasures: playing computer games, visiting casinos, and cheering on her favorite WWE wrestling stars. Her humor, loyalty, and loving spirit touched everyone she met.
Sharon is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, Donald Joseph Demchak of Plano, Texas; her children, Donald John Demchak and Cathy Ann Demchak. Proceeded in death by her parents and siblings, Betty Biddle and husband, Robert, Jeannie Patrick and husband, Dwayne, and Delores Grese and husband, Chuckie; William Wilson and wife, Carol, and Thomas Pitts and wife, Pat; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
The family will receive friends for a visitation on Tuesday evening, July 29, from 6:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, 1914 Ridgeview Drive, Allen, Texas 75013. Additional service details to follow.
A graveside interment will be held at a later date, at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211. Updates will be shared when available.
