Shawn Lung Obituary

Shawn Allen Lung, age 46, of Sturgis, Michigan, passed away on the evening of Friday, July 4, 2025, at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo.
Born on September 24, 1978, in Kendallville, Indiana, Shawn was the beloved son of the late Jerry Allen and Rebecca A. (Garrison) Lung. Shawn was employed with Summit Polymers in Sturgis and previously worked at ARBOC Specialty Vehicles in Middlebury, Indiana.
Shawn will be remembered for his love of science fiction films, his enjoyment of fishing, and his passion for working on vehicles, especially his trucks. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family and found joy in simple, meaningful moments with those he loved.
He is survived by his sisters: Brandy (Raymond) Robison of Galesburg, Angie Garrison, Tanya Garrison, Sara Sosa, and Jennifer Mow, all of Sturgis; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Rebecca Lung, and Cynthia Richardson.
In accordance with the family's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate and honor Shawn's life will be announced at a later date.
