Shawna was a free spirit with a deep love for the outdoors. She enjoyed hiking, nature, and watching movies - one of her favorites was Girl, Interrupted. She also had a passion for music of all genres and found joy in every melody. Above all, Shawna loved her children dearly, and her adventurous heart and appreciation for life's simple joys will be remembered by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Michael Davis Jr. and Mya Davis; brothers, James Nixon (Tina), Shawn McKinzie, and Frankie McKinzie; and sisters, Sue McKinzie and Helen McKinzie.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Larry Robert Nixon, George McKinzie, and Lavona Cave.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made toward the education of Shawna's children, Michael and Mya Davis.
Friends and family will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors, followed by a funeral service at 5:00 p.m. Internment will be at Longview Cemetery.
