Shawna Leanne Laughlin passed from this life on June 27, 2025, at the age of 47. Born on August 3, 1977, Shawna lived a life marked by quiet strength, kindness, and a deep love for both people and animals.
A devoted Baptist, Shawna found peace and joy in nature-especially at the lake, where she loved swimming and boating. She was an avid fan of crime dramas, with CSI and Cops among her favorites. Shawna had a special connection with animals and spent much of her life rescuing and caring for them. Dogs and cats held a particularly special place in her heart.
Shawna graduated from Moore High School in 1996 and went on to run her own house-cleaning business. Known for being reserved at times, Shawna was also unafraid to speak up when something mattered to her. Her honesty and straightforward nature left a lasting impression on those who knew her.
She especially cherished the bond she shared with her nephew, Jayden, and treasured memories of summer vacations spent with her grandparents in the Colorado mountains. She was a loving daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, and friend whose kindness and love of the outdoors touched the lives of many.
Shawna is survived by her parents, Terry and Amanda Laughlin of Moore; her siblings, Brandi Limbaugh and Jacob Laughlin; her grandmother, Imogene Baker; and her stepfather, Bill Mott. She was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Mott, and by her paternal grandparents, HL and Dortha Laughlin.
Shawna will be deeply missed by all who had the blessing of knowing her.
