She was born March 7, 1953 in Robeson County daughter of the late Lewis E. Bailey and Vivian Owens Edwards.
She is survived by her husband, Walter Hicks; son, Robert Farrow and wife Tina of Pender County; two grandchildren, Shelby Greene and Hunter Farrow; two great grandchildren; brother, Johnny Edwards and spouse, Chris; sister, Wanda Bailey; and Tom Walker.
Shelby loved to crochet and made many things for family and friends. If you could dream it she could crochet it. She also enjoyed doing word puzzles.
The family will receive friends Wednesday at 11:00 am until 12:00 pm at Harrell's Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday July 2, 2025 at Greenlawn Cemetery Wilmington. Reverend Bill Morris will officiate and entombment will follow.
