Shelia Renne Griggs, 62, of Williamsville, MO, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at her residence. She was born in Poplar Bluff, MO, February 25, 1963, to Charles and Sue (White) Bratton.
Shelia was a devoted wife, nurturing mother, loving grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She married the love of her life, Stanley Griggs, on May 23, 1981, in Williamsville, and they shared many wonderful memories together and were blessed with two children. Shelia adored spending time with her family and friends, particularly her two grandsons, whom she cherished and spoiled.
Shelia's passion for children and community led her to dedicate the majority of her career to the Greenville R-II School District, where she served in many roles, most notably as the Secretary of Williamsville Elementary. She was a constant presence and one of the many pillars in the Williamsville community, always known for her warm smile and kind heart.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of forty-three years; her granddaughter, Paisley Sue Spencer; and her father and mother-in-law, Joe and Hazel (Graham) Griggs.
Shelia is survived by her father Charles; children: Sarah Griggs and fiancé Mitch Spencer of Ellsinore, and Cory Griggs of Williamsville; grandchildren: James and Jayce Cassin of Ellsinore; brothers: Ron Bratton of Williamsville, Don Bratton and wife Dana of Williamsville, Nick Bratton and wife Lauren of Ellsinore; brother-in-law, Brent Griggs and wife Amber of Williamsville; sister-in-law, Sharon Webb of Williamsville; five nephews, three nieces, two great-nephews, and a host of friends.
Shelia's love, kindness, and laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her family and community were everything to her, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will never be forgotten. Shelia will forever be remembered for the love she gave and the smile she wore.
