Shelton was born October 4th, 1955 in Lafayette to the late Lucille and Theodule Citizen. He worked as a warehouse operator for Coca-Cola and his hobbies included restoring vintage cars, cooking and spending time with his wife and daughters.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife; Jessica Citizen, of Lake Charles, LA and beautiful daughters; Alexis Citizen, of Sulphur, LA and Alise Citizen, of Lake Charles, Louisiana. Siblings, John D. (Carolyn) Citizen, of Lake Charles, Louisiana; Mary Louise Citizen of Lake Charles, Louisiana; Dorothy Veazie of Crowley, Louisiana; Wilma Westbrook of Houston, Texas; Dolores Catalon of Houston, Texas; Helen Citizen and Chanlen of Arizona. Three lovely grandchildren, Gabrielle, Londyn and Riley Citizen; and a host of friends and relatives.
Shelton was proceeded in death by both parents and his sister, Patricia Citizen.
Visitation will be held from 8:00AM until 10:30 AM, with a Rosary at 9:30 AM on Saturday, August 9th, 2025 at King's Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 AM at St. Henry Catholic Church, with burial services at Sacred Heart Mausoleum under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
