Winterfield Township - Sherrel Lynn Brown, of Marion and formerly of Limon, CO, passed away at home unexpectedly on Sunday, June 29, 2025. She was 69.
Sherrel was born on August 5, 1955, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and raised by Leo and Helen (Hauck) Kosley. She grew up on the family farm in Colorado before eventually selling out west and reestablishing a homestead near Marion. Sherrel loved the farm and could often be found tending to the property cutting grass or working in her flowers. She adored family and the moments together like Sunday dinners and the holidays. She enjoyed her time with family and friends, as well as visiting with the neighbors.
Sherrel was married to Leonard Lawrence Brown Jr. on February 14, 2001, in Limon, CO, celebrating over 20 years together until his passing in 2021. She is survived by her children Kevin Holmes (Marcie), Heather Wiley, Katherine Wudyka (Eric Boyd) and Scott Estes Jr. and her grandchildren: Abby Holmes, Maggie Holmes, Austin (Cynthia) Hayes, Savannah (Brett)Cook, Brandon Hauck, Avery Cooper, Aaron(Lauren) Wudyka, Alex Wudyka, Erica Boyd and Levelle Boyd, as well as eight great-grandchildren with more on the way.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
