Sherry Evonne Bobbitt was born on May 21, 1961, in St. Louis Missouri, to Clarice Ann Jones and Tyrone Jones. Sherry grew up in St. Louis, Missouri where she developed a lifelong passion for fashion, sewing, cooking/baking, writing, modeling for photography, catching butterflies, tea parties, and being a steward in her community. Sherry graduated from Northwest High School "Blue Devils" class of 1982.
Sherry moved to Trenton, Tennessee shortly after graduating from high school and met the love of her life James Bobbitt. They became one in union in the late eighties up until James's death August 2017. Sherry was ordained as a pastor in the late nineties where she loved to spread God's word and was a powerful prayer warrior. Sherry moved to Nashville and worked in her passion as an educator with students of disabilities. She loved each student wholeheartedly. Sherry's latest adventure was becoming a Published Author and writing two books "The Prayer's He Prayed for Me" and "The Shades and Waves of Grief." Sherry continued with her gifts, talents, and calling up until the day she took her last breath.
She is survived by siblings Anthony Brown, Charlene Brown, Ronald Jones, Keisha Jones, and Godfather Uncle Bill. She was preceded in death by husband James Bobbitt; parents Clarice Ann Jones and Tyrone Jones; stepmother Henrietta Brown Jones; siblings Kevin Brown and Reginald Brown; and grandparents on maternal/paternal sides.
Sherry has a host of nieces/nephews, play children, and close friends of St. Louis, Trenton, and Nashville.
