Sherry Houle Obituary

Sherry Lynn West-Houle, a beacon of gentle love and selfless devotion, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2025, in her hometown of Lapeer, Michigan, where she was also born on August 16, 1963. Her life was a testament to the enduring power of love and family.

Sherry's journey began as the cherished daughter of Richard and Lamonta (Reynolds) West, who preceded her in death, as did her adored husband, David Houle. Her legacy continues through her loving children, Tony, Christopher, and Joseph Houle, her seven treasured grandchildren, and her dear siblings, Myrna West, Donna Day, Norm West, Bob West, and Bill West. Her niece Tawnya Day also held a special place in her heart along her many other nieces & nephews, as Sherry was known for her expansive capacity to love and nurture.

For many years, Sherry dedicated her talents to the Davison Dental Laboratory.

Sherry's interests were as wide-ranging as they were heartfelt. She found joy in traveling to new places and revisiting favorite spots, always with an eye for the beauty of the journey. She cherished visits with family and friends, understanding that the true value of her travels was the time spent with loved ones. Scenic drives were a source of solace and inspiration for Sherry, who appreciated nature's artistry in every season.

An avid thrift store shopper, Sherry delighted in discovering hidden treasures and sharing them with those she loved. Her grandchildren will fondly recall the countless hours she spent babysitting them, imparting wisdom and creating memories that will last a lifetime. Sherry's love was also expressed through her cooking, a talent that brought comfort and joy to family gatherings.

Sherry Lynn West-Houle will be remembered as the epitome of a loving, gentle, and selfless soul. Her unwavering commitment to her family, her kindness that knew no bounds, and her ability to find joy in the simple pleasures of life will continue to inspire all who knew her. As we say goodbye to Sherry, we celebrate the remarkable woman she was and the indelible mark she has left on our hearts.
