SHIRLEY MARCENE REISDORFER, of Magnolia, died Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the Mary Jane Brown Good Samaritan Home in Luverne. She was born January 30, 1936, on a farm near George, IA, to Jerry and Martha (Runge) Harr. Her mother later married Ted Voss. She attended public school in George, IA and Rushmore before graduating from Our Lady of Good Counsel School in Wilmont.
Shirley married Eldon Reisdorfer on July 6, 1954. After their marriage, the couple farmed near Magnolia for forty years and raised their four children. In September of 1994, they moved to Lake Shetek. Eldon died on November 2, 1996. In 2005, Shirley moved to Luverne to be closer to family. Besides being a homemaker, she worked outside the home at Safeway Egg Co. in Adrian; Creeger's and The Style Shop in Luverne. Shirley was also a very successful home interiors sales rep for several years. She became a resident of the Mary Jane Brown Home in October of 2024.
She was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church in Luverne. Shirley was fiercely independent. She accepted help when necessary but enjoyed her independence. She enjoyed playing cards, baking and giving away her delicious baked goods. She had great taste in clothes and was very good at decorating.
