Stacey Lee Ferrin
Of Onondaga, MI, passed away unexpectedly on July 6, 2025, at the age of 62. He was born on November 22, 1962, in Flint, MI, the son of Clark and Dora (Davis) Ferrin. Stacey was raised in Flint and attended school there before relocating to Lansing, where he built a career as a skilled transmission mechanic with Lansing Transmission, retiring in 2022.
Stacey eventually made his home in Onondaga, where he proudly raised his two daughters. Known for his mechanical skill and love of working with his hands, he spent much of his free time in the garage, often found under the hood of his own vehicles. A passionate NASCAR fan, Sundays were reserved for watching races, and his enthusiasm for the sport was reflected in the impressive collection of NASCAR model cars that decorated his home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clark and Dora.
Surviving are his daughters, Nichole Ferrin (Zac Raby) and Shauna Carter; son-in-law, Marcus Carter; grandchildren, Bentley, River, Owen Carter, and Logan Austin; siblings, Gilbert (Pam) Ferrin, Madilyn (Paul) Partridge, Colette McGee, Rodney Ferrin, Pracilla Ferrin, and David Ferrin; his beloved dog, Daisey; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
