Stacy Richard Lester, 76 passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at 12:03 pm in Springfield.
Stacy was a Christian man, raised in the Baptist Church in Texas. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Baylor University in Waco, Texas and his Masters of Arts from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. He was in the Air Force from 1971-1975. He was currently employed by Chase. He was an avid reader of history. Stacy loved music and played the guitar. He was a big fan of the Baylor Bears.
He was preceded in death by his father, Stacy Richardson Lester; his mother, Alene (Florence) Lester; his sisters, Patricia Secoy and Helen Hull; and two sons prior to birth.
Stacy is survived by his loving wife, Rose Marie; three sons from a previous marriage, James (Carol) Lester of Buffalo Gap, TX, Daniel Lester of Haltom City, TX, and Timothy (Sarah) Lester of Midland, TX; his grandchildren, Colin, Simon, Evelyn, JT and Melody; along with a brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He will be greatly missed.
Funeral services with Military Honors will be Friday, May 2, 2025 at 11:00 am at Gorman Scharpf Funeral Home with a visitation at 10:00 am. A private ceremony will be held at a later date at IOOF Cemetery in Monett, Missouri.
Memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warriors or St. Jude's Children Research Hospital.
