He was born to Charles Robert "Robbie" Ferguson and Billie Maxine (Brooks) Ferguson on January 28, 1943. He spent his formative years in Rich Hill, MO and graduated as a proud Tiger in 1961. After graduation, he spent several years serving his country in the Army. He returned home and married Bonita Bennett from Adrian, MO and to that union, two daughters were born.
Steve spent the next 30 years working at Ford Motor Company in Claycomo, MO. Upon retirement, he enjoyed many happy years in Yuma, AZ with friends and family. Steve enjoyed good food, telling jokes, hunting, fishing and collecting anything and everything from garage sales. He could not pass up a good deal.
He is preceded in death by his parents, as well as aunts and uncles who were local to Rich Hill, MO. He is also pre-deceased by his ex-wife Bonita, whom he lovingly remembered until his death, as well as his long-term companion, Shirley Goninan.
Steve is survived by "his girls", Sonya (Dan), Sigrid (Tim) as well as his grandchildren: Spencer (Tayler), Shelby, Stephen, Sophie and his great-grandson Stetson. Other survivors include his cousins: Susan Ferguson, Larry Kenney, and Cindy Brooks Steuck.
He will be laid to rest alongside his father in Rich Hill, MO.
