Stephen Schmitz Obituary

Stephen O. Schmitz, II 52 of Centerburg, OH passed away at home surrounded by his close friends and family on Friday April 11, 2025, following a brave battle with cancer. Stephen was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio and was the co-founder of SOS Construction and Drainage He was preceded in death by his father, Stephen O. "Red"Schmitz Survived by his loving daughters Caila Schmitz and Lia Fischer, mother and stepfather Colleen and Gil lmholz along with numerous close friends and extended family.
Stephen's kind heart and generous fun-loving spirit were contagious and have left a lasting impact on all those who had the privilege to know him well. Stephen worked hard and always had a project underway. His happy places were Porter Lane, Puerto Rico and anywhere he could spend good times with family and friends.
Arrangements were made with the Snyder Funeral Homes, DeVore Chapel in Sunbury, Ohio. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. You can honor Stephen by helping a neighbor and then enjoying a sunset.
