Barnes, Steven Dwight "Steve", age 64, of Old Hickory, TN, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2025. Steve was a dedicated truckdriver for XPO Logistics for 36 years. An avid hunter and fisherman, he found joy in the great outdoors and cherished every moment spent pursuing his interests. Steve was a loyal supporter of the University of Tennessee Volunteers, Go Big Orange! Steve had a deep love and appreciation for Jeeps, often embarking on adventures with friends and family. A member of The Glade Church, his kindness and spirit touched the lives of many. Above all else, Steve was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be missed by all who knew him. Steve was preceded in death by his grandfather, Earle Towns; grandmother, Mary Towns; mother, Sue Armstrong; and father, Thomas Barnes.

He is survived by:

Wife of 14 years – Angie Barnes

Children – Steven Barnes, Thomas "Bubba" (Jessica) Barnes, and Beth (Scotty) Vaupel

Stepdaughter – Falisha Williams

Grandchildren – Gracie Barnes, Jacob Barnes, Maddox Barnes, Wesley Barnes, Jase Vaupel, Kendall Vaupel, and Kingston Spence

Sisters – Sonya (Butch) O'Neal and Shelia (Drew) Derosett

Many nieces and nephews

Beloved Fur Babies – Smokey, Lil Bit, and Shadow

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday May 14, 2025, at Bond Memorial Chapel with Pastor Mark Satterfield officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Thomas Barnes, Steven Barnes, Trey O'Neal, Josh Dickson, Gary St. Amant, Ray Horton. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rick Brown and the Drivers of XPO Logistics.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.at Bond Memorial Chapel, 10
