Steven Lance Larew, 54, of Idamay, passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025. He was born in Fairmont on January 16, 1971, the son of the late Marvin Larew and Judith Bragg Cunningham.
Steven is survived by his loving mother, Judith; his sisters Debra A. Keene and husband Will, and Vicki S. Pearson and husband Kenneth; children Kyle Hall and Kerensa Lea Larew; nieces and nephews: Cecily A. Greco and fiancé Josiah, Sarah Zogal, Beth A. Thompson and husband Cary, Melissa S. Turner and husband Mark, and Nathan L. Pearson; Great nieces and nephews: Cameron Lynch and wife Cherise, Samuel Lynch and fiancé Kim, Alexander J. Thompson, Joshua D. Thompson, Gabrielle A. Turner, Arielle B. Turner, Abram Wells and Reneéa Erdie; great-great nieces and nephews: Caleah, Calyopie, Calhani, and Cambri; aunts and uncles: Thomas Bragg, Maxine Gamble, Robert Bragg, John Bragg, Marsha Channel, Dorothy Palmieri, Paul Bragg, and William Bragg.
In addition to his father, Steven was preceded in death by his grandparents: James and Francis Cassidy Larew, and Hazel and Sarah Cross Bragg; granddaughter Zeala Snedegal; niece, Margaret "Maggie" Erdie; aunts and uncles: Rita Lambert, Gary Larew, Donald Bragg, James Bragg, Ralph Bragg.
Steven graduated from East Fairmont High School, where he played football. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and gathering ginseng. Steven was a very kind man who had many good friends and loved spending time with his family. He was Christian by faith.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no services as cremation was his chosen disposition. A memorial service will be held for Steven at a later date.
