Steven M. Pruchnicki, age 77, was called home to be with the Lord on July 9, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. He was the devoted and faithful husband of Carmelita A. (née Greco) Pruchnicki, with whom he shared 57 beautiful, grace-filled years of marriage.
Steven was a loving father to his cherished daughter, Elizabeth Gobel (Nathan), and a proud and adoring grandfather to Vincent, Dominic, and Mia Gobel, who brought endless joy to his heart. He was the beloved son of the late Stephen and Genevieve Pruchnicki, and dear brother of the late Judy Linsell.
A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Steven served his country with honor and integrity. His service was a testament to his deep sense of duty and commitment. For over 20 years, he faithfully worked as a Custodial Supervisor for Cuyahoga County, dedicating himself to serving others with humility and quiet strength.
Steven had a profound love for fishing and hunting, but nothing brought him greater happiness than the time he spent with his grandchildren and his daughter, whom he cherished above all. His love was deep, steady, and unwavering-a reflection of his enduring faith in God, which guided him throughout his life. His faith was not only a personal cornerstone but a gift he shared openly with those around him, embodying the love of Christ in all he did.
Steven's life was a testimony of God's grace, filled with kindness, devotion, and a spirit of quiet generosity. He leaves behind a legacy rooted in faith, love, and the unshakable strength of family.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on July 12 at St. John Neumann Church, 16271 Pearl Rd, Strongsville, OH 44136, followed by a Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
May God welcome him with open arms into eternal peace, and may his soul rest in the loving presence of our Savior.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Southwest Hospice Fund, 18659 Drake Road, Strongsville 44136, honoring Steven's compassionate spirit and his care for others.

You were a wonderful coworker and mentor.
I will miss our conversations about fishing, world news, kids, sports, work and our dogs. Although I am sad that we didn´t have more time together; I find comfort knowing you are no longer in pain and resting in peace with God in heaven. I will think of you every time I go to Hinkley to fish and you fishing in heaven and looking down on me laughing about my big catch. Hasta luego Amigo!
