Mr. Stewart "Gregg" Thompson, 67, entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 21, 2025 following a long battle with Stage 4 Renal Disease.
A lifelong area resident, Gregg was the son of the late Glenda and Otis B. Thompson, Jr. He loved watching NASCAR- Dale Ernhardt being his favorite driver. He was also an avid Clemson fan. Gregg never met a stranger, and had a great sense of humor. He lived by the saying "Always try to make others laugh, and not cry."
In addition to his parents, Gregg is preceded in death by his brother Mark F. Thompson.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 36 years, Mrs. Cherie Fisk Thompson; his children Josh H. Thompson and Cheralyn Thompson Medina (Bill); his sister Harriet T. Jones (Jimmy); his grandchildren Hunter L. Burkett and Josie Medina; as well as his nephew Wyatt "Matthew" Burns (Sarah).
In accordance with his wishes, Gregg will be cremated and a Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025 beginning at 2 o'clock at Woodbridge Baptist Church, 401 Birch Street, North Augusta, South Carolina, 29841. The family has requested that everyone wear orange to express Gregg's love for the Clemson Tigers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Gregg may be made to the Woodridge Baptist Church Food Pantry.
