Strong was my life coach, more of a friend really. We talked on the phone most every week for 31 years. We talked about everything, anything, and over the last 10 years perhaps, we tried to converse in French, though at some point the conversation would most often revert to English out of need to better express things. He was a part, not as director but as a sounding board where I could confront myself, of every major life decision over those years. He will be missed of course, yet somehow he is still with me and will never go away.
