Sue Kamo, 99 of Nyssa, Oregon died July 8, 2025. She was born on October 7, 1925 to Hayako and Morio Matsumoto. She was reared and educated in Middleton, Idaho. On December 1, 1948 She married Hiroshi "Hip" Kamo and moved to Jamison, Oregon where Hip farmed. In 1985 they moved to Ontario, Oregon where they started "Hippos", a used and renewed truck business. She worked alongside Hip until his death in August of 1993. She then moved to Fruitland, Idaho where she enjoyed a yard full of flowers. She enjoyed fishing and traveling with her siblings. She was an avid Boise State fan and went through several decks of cards playing Solitaire. Her family, brothers and sisters were very dear to her. Her grandsons were her pride and joy.
She is survived by Son, Curt (Kit) Kamo, Daughter, Susie (Bert) Bertalotto, Grandsons, Ryan and Colby Bertalotto, David Kamo, Great Grandchildren Kobe and Khloe Kamo, Evan Bertalotto, Brother Richard Matsumoto, Sister Elaine Crawford.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, husband Hip, Brothers Jun, Tada and Tom Matsumoto, Sister, Irene Yamada, May Matsui, Yoshie Fuji and Mitsue Sako.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Ontario JACL Bento Box Program or the charity of one's choice. Upon Sue's Request no public services will be held.
