Susan Braun Obituary

Susan Florence Braun, age 64, of Monticello, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2025, at North Memorial Hospital surrounded by loved ones.
Susan was born on February 8, 1961, in Wayzata, Minnesota, to Joseph and Marie (Stimler) Braun. She grew up in Rockford and graduated with the Rockford High School Class of 1979.
She dedicated herself to her community with a giving heart. She was an active and devoted member of the local VFW Auxiliary, where she volunteered countless hours of her time. Her service extended far beyond organizational duties-she was always ready to lend a hand, share a kind word, or offer comfort to those in need.
She was known for her warm spirit, unwavering positivity, and selfless nature. Her smile lit up every room she entered, and her kindness left a lasting impression. Whether helping with community events or quietly supporting a neighbor, Susan lived her life with purpose, always placing others before herself.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Survived by her significant other, Dave Ross; children, John Dahl (Choas) and Jennifer (Brian) Dougherty; grandchildren, Noah, Lisa, Bethany, Joanna, Michael, and Peter; siblings, Dorothy (Bill) Hayes, Sally Berthiaume, Nancy (Les) Delton, Daniel (Missy) Braun, and Diane (Ivon) Anthony; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 13, 2025 at the Monticello VFW Post 8731 (713 Cedar Street, Monticello, MN) from 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM.
