Susan Burden 77, of Utica, Kentucky passed away Saturday, June 28, 2025 at her son's home in Utica. Susan Faye Stevens was born February 22, 1948 in Central City, Kentucky to the late E.G. 'Foo' and Faye Watkins Stevens and was married to Stephen Boyd Burden on July 6, 1966.
Susan was a receptionist at Kidd Fiberglass. She loved the ocean and her yearly family camping trips at Cravens Bay. She enjoyed being with her family and listening to her son playing his guitar and singing. Her boys and her grandchildren were her life and were all loved at any age.
In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Steve Burden, who died September 27, 2023; a daughter, Rhonda Ann Burden; two brothers-in-law, Ray 'Bub' Burden and Wayne J. Burden; a sister-in-law, Millie Burden; and all of her aunts and uncles.
Susan is survived by her sons, Steve Burden, Jr. and Adam T. Burden (Linda) both of Utica; five grandchildren, Nathaniel Burden of Evansville, Wesley H. Burden of Calhoun, Emma F. Burden, Stevy R. Burden both of Texas, and Willow Burden of Calhoun; two great-grandchildren, Cohen Burden and Misty H. Holmes; a brother, Bobby Glenn Stevens (Belinda) of Livermore; a sister, Millie Stevens Wells of Bowling Green; a niece, Jessica Feltes (Ben) of Louisville; a nephew, Aaron Stevens (Shelly) of Livermore; a special cousin, Julia 'Sis' Watson; 14 brothers and sisters-in-law; many cousins, their spouses, and many friends.
Family services will be held at a later date. There will be no public visitation. Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel is handling the arrangements for Susan's family.
