Susan Foster left this world to her eternal home on July 20, 2025. On Christmas Eve in 1949, our angel on Earth was born in Berkeley, California. Known as Sue to those who loved her.
Sue married the love of her life, David Foster, on July 5, 1969 and spent most of her life in Southern California before making their way to Texas in 2007.
For 42 years, Sue was a schoolteacher, touching the lives of hundreds of students over the decades. The last 17 years she taught in Clear Lake at St. Clare of Assisi. There was not a place the family could go to with Sue where someone would not stop us to say hello, as she was so involved both when living in California and then Texas.
Sue was a daughter, sister, mother, wife, nana/grannie, friend, peer, teacher, mentor and most of all beloved by all who knew her.
Sue is survived by her children Pam and Rick Reimonenq of Whittier, CA; Tony and Melissa Foster of League City, TX; Ken and Sarah Foster of Torrance, CA; her grandchildren Shannon Reimonenq, Drew Reimonenq, Dylan Foster and Amanda Foster; her siblings Mike and Debbie Mansfield; Lori Palmer and many other extended family members including cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents Tom and Lois Mansfield as well as her husband, David Foster.
A Mass to celebrate Sue's life will be held on Monday, July 28, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church located at 3131 El Dorado Blvd., Houston, TX 77059. The family invites you to join them for a reception at the Parish Hall onsite immediately following the service.
